ABOUT

I have been in construction all my life and it was one of the driving factors for me becoming an Engineer. I was a Manufacturing Engineer in the corporate world for 30 years and I have worked at places like Boeing, Plexus, and Opryland. Most of my career, I was involved in Prototypes where I honed my skills at creating new projects. During this time, I mastered the art of overcoming obstacles and developing the best logical plan forward. I discovered that EVERY project has problems no matter how well planned out the project. The key to solving these problems is that I have to be smarter than the problem. Many times this requires the input of the homeowner. It's always better to have two heads than one. By getting the homeowner involved, it develops a sense of pride in ownership of the project.

The name of my company has morphed into a catchy, unique brand. "Rent A Laidoff Husband" was derived from an east coast franchise company back in the 80's called Rent A Husband. I thought that was a cool name and since I was laid off from the corporate world, I came up with "Rent A Laidoff Husband". It gets a lot of attention and laughs.
